Since I'm learning one other language of the Caucasus, I though, what the heck, I'll try another. I know Georgian and
Armenian are not related, but it'd be nice to try them out in tandem, and then start with them fully after about a
month.
I have all of next week free, and most of it is going to be dedicated to language learning. Hopefully my Georgian will
finally get a kickstart, and my Armenian can start to pick up speed as well.
I do not have my book yet. I am still waiting for it, so I'm just going to do some Russian and Georgian tonight, and
see where I get.

IT IS AMAZING haha.
I just got my Armenian. It's western, but I don't really have an issue, just as long as I'm learning one form or another.
If I learn Western, Eastern will be a snap (if I ever spend anytime in the Caucasus, which I probably will, using
Georgian, Armenian, and Russian).

Anyways, I'm going to start on the script :)

I hope thats right :). I'm just using the Armenian unicode keyboard on my computer. For some strange reason
there's not one for Georgian.
Anyways, I got my Armenian book: Beginner's Armenian from Hippocrene. I know it's not the best, but it's the only
thing I could find. Frankly, I could only find stuff for Western Armenian, although everything on Wikipedia and stuff
is written in Eastern Armenian so I shouldn't have a problem getting really assimilated into both dialects :).
The book looks pretty good, although the only complaint I have about it: NO AUDIO!
I must rely on basic pronunciation skills, and hopefully find some examples on the internet.
Anyway, after I study Russian I think I'm going to do some Georgian, so Armenian will have to wait for a few hours
:(, but I'll get to it today!!!

I didn't have anytime to do Armenian today or yesterday, but tonight I have some time.
I'm going to post my schedule for tonight's studying on my TAC log, and then I will post my progress in their
respective logs. :)

The Armenian alphabet is harder than I thought. There are multiple letters for the same sound and it's confusing me
:(. I know I'll figure it out as I only started the alphabet about a half hour ago so :P...

Anyways I can't wait to actually start studying the language. It seems so interesting in the actual book with all the
grammatical nuances and the grammar drills :).

I'm slowly trudging through the Armenian alphabet. It's really hard, but it's so cool, that it's absolutely worth it. I
actually have some plans for Armenian.

Once I complete my book, I think I'm going to take more steps to become even more fluent in it. After that most of
my work will be trying to comprehend the Eastern dialect which won't be too much of a challenge. Perhaps a trip to
the Caucasus will help that :).

I once looked for Armenian materials and didn't find too much. However, I did obtain "Spoken East Armenian," by Gordon Fairbanks and Earl Stevick, 1958 (!), and seemingly still reprinted by Spoken Language Services, Inc, Ithaca, New York. My copy is copyrighted 1989, but feels newer than that. It's almost 400 pp., and looks well done. I haven't gotten into it yet, though, so I cannot vouch for it.
