Hello everyone !
Russian Here is another journal about two languages I'd like to learn. Russian was only because it's spoken by many people. Frankly, I don't like it so much like Hungarian or Swiss-german. On the other hand, I understand it better as Hungarian in the beginning, because of the influence of German and French. I'm taking courses with a person who learnt it in Armenia, in the Soviet Union. I think the courses are great, a lot of speaking, acting and real life situation, but it's lacking in grammar and writing. At this time, I don't really know how to write Russian. I know how to write in cyrillic, it's pretty simple, but no how to write the words... Anyway, here is a poeme that we learnt by heart : МИШКА (ритм 1-2-3, 1-2-3) Уронили мишку на пол, Uranili mishku na pal, Оторвали мишке лапую Atarvali mishki lapu. Всё равно его не брошу- Fsio ravno yivo ni broshu- Потому что он хороший! Patamu shta on kharoshiy ! We learnt it to say on Tchaikowski :) It was fun, and it thaught us the accusativ and some expression :) I've also ought some self-study book, but I'm currently not using it, because at the moment, I'm not motivated to continue Russian... The class are fun, but not the self-study... :) The book is called : Sprachkurs Plus Anfänger - Russisch, systematisch, schnell und gut - Cornelsen So that's all for Russian today, Da svidenija ! (I don't know how to write it in cyrillic :p) Slovene Here too I'm a complete beginner... Three month ago, I saw a film in the Festival International de Film de Fribourg - Slovenka, from Damjana Kozoleta. Here's the trailer of the film - it's not a kind film - but I really really liked it - to the point of wanting to learn the language. A sweet yet sad Russian nursery rhyme...spasibo!
Literal translation (for those who don't speak Russian here): LITTLE BEAR A little bear was dropped on the floor, His paw was torn off. Anyway, I won't throw him away, Because he's good! My own poetic rendering: LITTLE BEAR A little toy bear was dropped on the floor, And torn from the seams, fell his little bear paw. Danke für deine Übersetzung :) Thanks for your translation, I knew it in French, but my English is too bad to translate such a little rhyme. I read your blog, really interesting in fact. And I read your little poem, "Das Abendlied", from Matthias Claudius. I would have never thought you knew it. It's my prefered in German, because my grandfather sang it to me when I was a child. “Der Mond ist aufgegangen, die goldnen Sternlein prangen am Himmel hell und klar; der Wald steht schwarz und schweiget, und aus den Wiesen steiget der weiße Nebel wunderbar. [...] So legt euch denn, ihr Brüder, in Gottes Namen nieder! Kalt ist der Abendhauch. Verschon uns, Gott, mit Strafen; und laß uns ruhig schlafen und unsern kranken Nachbar auch!” My grandfather sang it to me to go to bed and sleep. But in fact, I would end to cry. It made me so sad, when I heard : lass uns ruhig schlafen, und unsern kranken Nachbarn auch ! I don't know why I cried, but it's one of my childhood memory :). Russian Today I wrote a little dialogue : У тебя есть машина - As-tu une voiture ? Нет, у меня нет машина. - Non, je n'ai pas de voiture. Вот автобуc. - Voilà le bus. Но у меня нет билета ! - Mais je n'ai pas de billet ! У тебя есть деньги? - As-tu de l'argent ? Да, деньги у меня есть. - Oui, de l'argent, j'en ai. Давай, бистро купим билет. - Viens, on va vite acheter les billets Два билетa, пожалиста ! Deux billets, s'il vous plaît ! Feel free to correct me, I struggled with the russian alphabet on the keyboard :). Word of the day kapučíno means Cappucino in Slovenian, and cigaréta cigarette, but the words are pretty similar to German and french found : here.
