	My previous post was at the beginning of my fourth semester studying Portuguese at my university in the United States. I am happy to say that I am rather pleased with my progress at the moment. I recently gave a final presentation to my class and spoke easily and fluently to my class with minimal preparation. I also received a perfect score on my final examination. My professor commented that she is pleased with my progress which is for me the best part of everything. Now I begin a four-month summer break in which I am fairly sure my exposure to Portuguese will be minimal. Unlike my previous experience with Spanish it is much harder to find conversation partners, books, television, and other materials in Portuguese. I plan to use materials that I find on the internet and hopefully I will be able to track down at least one conversation partner. 1 person has voted this message useful

	Good luck! I'm sure there is a Portuguese speaker nearer than you think. After all, you aren't the ONLY Portuguese student at your university, now are you? Also, check International Student Services, thats how I meet Spanish and Arabic speakers and even how I met a Portuguese speaker by chance.
