Here are some resources that I suggest for learning Norwegian
Contact a native speaker and speak to them over Skype. Google search “Norwegian
language Skype” to find someone.
There are a number of native speakers that have lessons on Youtube. Check out users
Crienexzy and galstrim in particular. Take a look at LingoSteve's wonderful general
language advice.
Here is a site that gives Norwegian-English English-Norwegian translation

Here is a site that supplies an online Norwegian keyboard (needed for letters) å æ ø

Here is Norwegian verb-of-the-day site

Here is are Norwegian flash cards

Copies of books printed in Norwegian are frequently available in used books stores
and on eBay. I have a number of Jo Nesbø and Steig Larsson (Swedish writer) that I
got in bookstores here in San Francisco – a lot cheaper than if I bought them new in
Oslo.
Forget expensive courses like Rosetta Stone.

I went through the Colloquial Norwegian course by Routledge and thought it was pretty good.
There's also another course called "På Vei", but it's strictly in Norwegian and meant to be instructor led I think. But it's a good secondary course, once you get through another beginner course.
