Heute habe ich irgendwie Lust, etwas auf Deutsch zu schreiben. Es ist mir neuerdings in den Sinn gekommen, dass ich die ganze Zeit davon rede, wie ich die C2-Prüfung bestanden habe, stelle meine Deutschkenntnisse aber niemals unter Beweis. Fehlerfrei sind meine Texte allerdings nicht! Ich bin immer noch bemüht zu lernen, wie man ordentlich schreibt. So.
Erstmal ein Kompliment an Joanthemaid, meine TAC-Kameradin. Ihr Fleiß hat mich diesmal zu allem inspiriert. Bemerkungen: Dass ich einige Aufgaben zum Sprachenlernen täglich erledige, ist sicher ein Grund dafür, dass ich weniger Probleme damit habe, Schritt zu halten. Was aber im Gegensatz dazu schwerer wiegt, ist meiner Meinung nach die Tatsache, dass ich alle zwei bzw. drei Tage die so genannte ,,Hauptsprache“ wechsele. Es fällt mir leichter, zielgerichtet zu bleiben, wenn ich weiß, dass ich jeden Tag irgendwas erreichen muss. Aus dem Grunde ist Russisch letztes Wochenende zum zweiten Mal in Folge beiseite gestoßen worden, da mein Stundenplan derzeit so gestaltet ist, dass ich Russisch nur am Wochenende lerne. Ich habe schon ernsthaft darüber nachgedacht, wie ich die jetzige Situation verbessern kann. Ich glaube, es wäre ratsam, meine morgige Routine mit einer russischen Aufgabe zu ergänzen. Pimsleur oder so. PS Liebe Muttersprachler, selbstverständlich könnt Ihr meinen Text korrigieren, wenn Ihr Lust habt! German: -audio clip/article: SIL 18.3 “Das Klischee der Deutschen“ -writing sample: see above! -a third of the Anki cards due Spanish: -articles: „La quinceañera,“ „Chichicastenango“ -audio clip: Audiria #85 “En el hotel” -20 Anki cards To summarize the main point of my previous post in German, I've noticed that, when a day gets busy, I usually manage to get the things that I'm supposed to do daily, err, done. There's something about this concept of it being a daily commitment that makes me disinclined to postpone it or not do it altogether. So, in addition to tightening up my schedule so that I can make some progress with my personal goals, I think I should add at least one Russian component to the daily schedule, because right now it's the one language that is getting pushed aside. Sure, it's only the first two weeks back, and I'm settling in, blablabla. But these two weeks are representative of my life until June, so something has to change. (By the way, academics are fine! They're just sucking up all my time. And I've been doing a heck of a lot of German reading, but it's not MY German TAC reading, so I'm not listing it here--at least for now. Hello, Sharp Knives!
I thought I'd come in here to ask your opinions. Do you think studying one language per day is best, or do you think studying two or three is better. I am studying three, and until this week I had been studying all three each day for a little over an hour each. I decided to experiement with studying one language per day for the month of February to see how I feel about it. Quite inexplicably, I feel that the languages that I don't think about at all during the day are slipping away, though I know this to be false. With which method have you had the most success? Hey, thanks for the compliments, although I'm not being all that hard-working right now. I've been having days in which I didn't do much at all in fact. You're right, logging in every day does make me want to stick to my plan too. So I'll try doing that from now on, even if it's only a tiny English post. Good luck with your tight schedule!

Wow du hast echt die C2-Prüfung bestanden? Ich bin beeindruckt :) Ich weiß nicht, ob ich die C2-Spanisch-Prüfung bestanden würde, und es ist meine beste Sprache. Viel Glück mit Russisch!
Ok that's enough German for me today, hehehe ;) I approve of you posting in German though! ^^ That Austrian book definitely sounds interesting (I loved Catcher in the Rye when I read it as a teenager) and embarrassingly enough, I have never read a book by an Austrian author... o.O;; So it will add to my "World Books" goal! Yay :) TAC has got to be the best thing for me, it gives me something to be accountable for in my languages every day. My schedule may also need some tweaking.... will be interesting to see how you fit in Russian. I definitely like your idea of just doing a tiny bit - less than 10 mins every day is supposed to be better than having big gaps between when you study. I do have a question for you - how do you manage to write so much on lang-8 every day? Are you very perfectionist about checking it or do you just write and post?? I never seem to make it to writing a sample there :( Any tips would be welcome. Sprachjunge, it sounds like your reading some really cool stuff. The way you talk about your German studies, you make it sound really entertaining. Keep up the good work.

Some sections are also longer than others. I read the grammar explanations and input all of the example sentences into Anki, ~40.) -Must-Know Spanish: Finished Chapter 3! (9 to go.)
