I was a bit aggressive, wasn't I? I didn't feel offended or anything, I just wanted you be realistic, because unlike most people (including myself) you seem to underestimate yourself. I think you're right to be ambitious though Let's create a C3 CEFR level for people like you!

05.01.10 was a Spanish day.
Spanish:
-one writing sample on Lang-8: "Los vejigantes"
-read through chapter 5 in "Advanced Spanish Grammar" (but haven't done the exercises yet)
-one audio clip/article: Reviewed "Los vejigantes"
-reviewed 20 vocabulary words
German:
-one writing sample on Lang-8: "Beitrag"
-Edit: I also input about 30 sentences into my SRS from some past articles! I think I should record that. :)
Hey, Joanthemaid! No, you weren't too aggressive. I like your style; I think we are well-suited as teammates!

06.01.10 was a Russian day.
Russian:
-had to clean the house, but listened to Russian conversation the entire time, a good five hour chunk.
-Pimsleur, lesson 4
German:
-input "Towns and Buildings" vocabulary in Anki(!) SRS from "Using German Vocabulary." I've decided to start from the beginning of the book for the TAC.
Finally updated to Anki so that I can do this vocabulary thing right. It is designed so much better than Mnemosyne that I'm willing to type in all of my German words again. And find ~350 new sentences on my road to 10,000 German sentences. It's all to the good. Plus, I will be able to add audio clips for my Russian.
Second, NOTE TEAM MEMBERS: I don't know if I was just the late one to the party with this, but today I discovered Fomny.com. I'm almost afraid that it's too good to be true, and that tomorrow it will seem like a dream, but it offers free online television in all of our languages! Live television. The channels are arranged in rows, and you click on one, and then the channel starts playing. It is the most intuitive, functioning website...I'm sorry, I'm just kvelling that I can watch free TV online without having to search for the programs. Just click on a channel, and it starts to play. For free! It's like I finally have that expensive German-Spanish-Russian TV pack that I've always dreamed of.

If that site does what you say I am going to scream (I'm at school and can't check it out now). Can't wait to check it out tonight!

07.01.10 was a (weak) German day.
German:
-one short story: ,,Die Lore"
Spanish:
-I definitely listened to 10 mins.' worth of the History Channel in Spanish, but it wasn't an audio clip with analysis, a transcript, etc.

10.01.10 was a catch-up day.
German:
-reviewed "Towns and Buildings" vocabulary from Using German Vocabulary
Spanish:
-input "Body" vocabulary from Must-Know Spanish
-listened to "De Tapeo" as an audio clip
-Edit: I knew I was missing a big chunk! I did quite a bit of Spanish reading:
-Miguel Mihura's "La feria del 'ganao'"
-Miguel Delibes' "En una noche así"
-Rubén Darío’s (poems) Rima VII, Rima XIII, Para una cubana, Mía, Los tres reyes magos, Un soneto a Cervantes, Lo fatal, A Margarita Debayle
-Antonio Machado y Ruiz’s Proverbios y Cantares (various excerpts), Hastío
-Federico García Lorca’s (poems) Memento, El lagarto está llorando, Canción de jinete, Sorpresa, Malagueña, La Lola, Clamor, Cueva, and Arbolé, arbolé.
I finished “Modern Spanish Prose!“
End of the Week Reflections:
Most weeks are busy, although usually not half as busy as I feign them being (another New Year's goal: How much are you genuinely producing? Don't kid yourself!). Anyhow, this week I was physically gone, as in away from my computer and language materials, since I was showing my German friend around Washington D.C. for the first time. So, for a few days, the most I could do was listen to my iPod and talk to him in German. I'm actually still stoked though, because it was a good time to start applying this paradigm shift I'm adopting for the new year: Just do something. Even if it's writing two sentences on Lang-8. Even if it's reviewing a two-minute audio clip on your iPod before turning in. Just do something so that you don't fall out of the rhythm of using these languages every day. Because I know how I am: None of my projects stop because I do ten minutes' worth a day. They stop because I'll go cold turkey for two weeks and wonder why I haven't made any progress. And then the compounding guilt paralyzes further action. Ah, so easy to type, so hard to cure!
