Actually I was a bit in a hurry when I wrote that reply so I didn't have the time to think about possible nuances.
I personally tend to either use rather colloquial or rather formal language, so I would say 'Das kann ich nicht brauchen' or 'Ich habe keinerlei Verwendung dafür' (or something similar) Still, it sounds to me like there is a slight difference in meaning. I can't put my finger on it, but 'etwas brauchen können' sounds to me a bit like 'to be able to find a use for sth' and 'etwas gebrauchen können' sounds like 'to be able to utilize sth in a way that the speaker already has an idea of' .... something along that line. 1 person has voted this message useful | ||||||

I've heard it used to mean "ASAP"... but in a way, that's sort of the same idea as "immediately."

You are more advanced than I so I would be more inclined to go that route, but I really
