The first question I have is how to use the word "ora" in Spanish. I have always found "ora" in this format...

ora------------,ora------------.

I haven't found an adequate description for it. So would anyone have some examples for me and an explanation?

Another question is this: I in french, Italian, and portuguese I have found that "but" is a word that begins with a ma- sound. I found in a dictionary that Spanish has a conjunction for "but" and it is "mas." does anyone know how to use this word? Is it different from "pero" in any regards?

Mas is an old-fashioned, literary word.
