I have no knowledge whatsoever with the Hugo series. But to learn Turkish, I really recommend FSI + Pimsleur. Anyway, whatever your program is, be sure to not overlook pronounciation. Especially the ı is a killer.

I found the books and casette audio in a shop last week and got it. Try ebay or amazon or somewhere maybe?
