Here's the book I used when I first started learning Korean back in 2005. If you're still living in Korea, you can go
to a bookstore and get it for less than the $30/$40 price that's listed on Amazon.
Those are two good books on learning to read the hangul script and explain some of the exceptions like when a
consonant comes right before another consonant.
