I'm rather burnt out today. Work has been stressful. I'm rather sore from my workout
yesterday and that has left me feeling tired.

I listened Pimsleur Italian 2 lesson 28 while walking and tried to do the speaking
parts. I have not previously done the speaking parts. I was able to do the short ones
at the begining but the longer ones I find I am not complete when it starts giving the
Italian. I got frustrated and stopped trying then started trying again.

I read through the next part of the Complete Italian Grammar but have not done the
exercises yet.

Interesting
I was listening to this interview and something in his pronunciation told me he was
Brazilian. I'm not sure what it was exactly. Turns out he is Brazilian. I had no idea
who he was.

Interview with Felipe Massa

I take it as a good sign that I've developed a sensitivity to Italian and Brazilian
accents.

I listened to it over again and I heard what sounded like a nasal diphthong at the end
of a word; very typical of Portuguese.

I often label Italian as 'tone-deaf' because even the worst (native or foreign) accent doesn't hinder its (spoken) understandability :P

Pimsleur Italian 3 unit 1:
Completed while walking. Pimsleur can get boring and I find my mind wandering. I do see
the value in that it provides many phrases but I remember how to say things better when
I know why. Still, I'll keep at it.

Complete Italian Grammar workbook:
Completed 4-4 (adverbs) and read some of the next section on pronouns

Assimil lessons 53 and 54:
Did the reading/listening and exercise parts. I kinda feel like I want to do more
reading/listening before I go back and do more second wave translations. I feel like I
really want to do more reading to soak up the grammar.

Oggi, mentre stavo lavorando, ho ascoltato molto il Radio 24. Capisco moltissimo ma
qualcuni parole ancora non lo conosci. Ho bisognio ancora di practicare scrivire e
parlare l'italiano. Uso il "Google Translate" per aiuto qualche volta.
Correzioni apprezzato.

some words I still don't recognize. I still need to practice writing and speaking

I think I will read some Easy Italian reader before falling asleep.

Interesting. Italian does seem very clear in that the syllables are very distinct and
delivered in a staccato fashion. Compared to, say, some of the blending you get in
French and Portuguese diphthongs.

Pimsleur Italian 3 Unit 2: while walking

Complete Italian Grammar: finished all of 5-1 and 5-2

I wonder if Densou will give me some Italian movie suggestions.
I've already seen "Swept Away", "Ginger and Cinnamon", "Cheeky" (sorry, I know them by their
english names). I wanted to watch Miranda but when I got it from Netflix it was in English
with no Italian track. I'd like to see Malena next. It looks really good and Monica Belluci
is just stunning.

I'm really tired and headed to bed. I will try do do some reading, either Assimil or Easy
Italian Reader before bed

I think tonight I will skip Pimsleur. I feel burnt out after it. I'm actually looking forward to studying tonight. I think I would do better to not listen to anything during my walk instead using the time to clear my mind.
