FRENCH:
I procured Le Dîner de Cons and watched it today. One hour, eighteen minutes of the funniest movie ever and some good listening practice!
Right now, I'm studying Chem while listening to French music--Kyo, Sherifa Luna, Disney in French, Les Choristes, Jenifer, Natasha St. Pier.
I've found Little Mermaid and Swan Princess in French and am dying to watch them! But I've got to do chem now.

I watched a couple parts of La Petite Sirène, but couldn’t find the rest, so just 17 min of practice.
Also watched all of Le Cygne et la Princesse. 1 hour 17 min.

From Cyrano de Bergerac:
On pouvait dire... Oh!
Pédant: " L'animal seul, Monsieur, qu'Aristophane
Appelle Hippocampelephantocamelos
Admiratif: " Pour un parfumeur, quelle enseigne ! "
Lyrique: " Est-ce une conque, êtes-vous un triton ? "
Naïf: " Ce monument, quand le visite-t-on ? "
Campagnard: " He, arde ! C'est-y un nez ? Nanain !
Militaire: " Pointez contre cavalerie ! "
Pratique: " Voulez-vous le mettre en loterie ?
Assurément, Monsieur, ce sera le gros lot! "
A détruit l'harmonie! Il en rougit, le traître! "
Once upon a time, I had the Tirade du Nez memorized and could act it out whenever the need arose (and the need did arise alarmingly often!)

Apparently, some family friends are going to France next summer and would like me to come along as interpreter...geez, this past summer was one big boredom festival and nothing was going right and now good things are actually happening. Amazing. Of course, I've already got the one job lined up for the first month, so if I take this second one, I may not be able to work on a farm. Anyway, the bottom line is, I have three different jobs available next summer, all in France, & all I've got to do is pick!

(RUSSIAN--?!?!)
Currently listening to Disney songs in Russian. No, I am not intending to take it up for quite a while, but I'd like to get a feel for the pronunciation...I'm a little worried, especially about the R, since I've tried and tried and still can't do a Spanish trill. Hopefully things will work out with Russian!
EDIT: actually, according to my roommate (who can roll her R's like crazy), I'm starting to get it (I've been practicing obsessively for the past week and getting LOTS of funny looks on the street). Apparently the roll is there, but there's something extra too? I dunno...I have a short frenulum, which is maybe why this is difficult for me, but I'm starting to hope that I can perfect a rolled R without surgery haha.
