PORTUGUESE DAY 45:
Pimsleur Level 2 Unit 19 & 20 I think I'll repeat unit 20 tomorrow as I was having a little trouble with some of the pronunciation. It may have just been because I'm rediculously tired (it's 2am) but buzzing from drinking far too much caffine today. The first thing I did in 2010? Pimsleur...what a geek! HAPPY NEW YEAR! I am a very easily distracted sort of person and procrastination is a major issue for me. I have so many things that I want and need to achieve every day, but I rarely do them all. Ideally each day would contain the following:
3 hours Uni study 3 hours Piano/Vocal/Djembe practice and song writing 1 hour Spanish 1 hour Portuguese 30 minutes exercise It is an extremely rare day when this actually happens. In order to try and change this I am trying to change the way I go about my day. I have never worked with any kind of structure - I always just do things when it takes my fancy, and unfortunately that never happens when it needs to! So, I have started "scheduling" my days. My first attempt (on Dec 30th) failed dismally. But I figure I need to take baby steps; such a big change won't happen over night. There will be resistance! But today was actually going really well until my mum rang and I had to go do family stuff all day. What feels good about today is that even though I didn't get everything done, it wasn't due to my own laziness or lack of focus. So I'm feeling positive about tomorrow, I think I can make it through the whole day following my schedule which will be a great thing, because I will achieve so much. 1 person has voted this message useful | |
