Something seems to be wrong with Anki online. I try to add cards, but they don't seem to be added even though it says it adds them. The total number of cards remains at 70. One of my decks says that it has 0 cards, but I know there are some cards there because I have reviewed them a few times. It's possible that my cards are all there, but the totals are wrong, but I can't tell. It's very frustrating. The help pages don't seem to be there either. When I open "online help" there is nothing there. The FAQ page opens but none of the links on it open.
I think the download version of Anki might be better, but I can't download anything to my computer, so I have to use something online.

Suddenly Anki has started working again. I was afraid I was going to have to find a different SRS and start all over again. I was getting really frustrated with the whole thing. But now it works again. Yippee!

Log update:
Another tough week. The busiest season is starting up at work and I'm having to do a bit of overtime. I think I managed to reach most of my goals for the week anyway.
Progress update:
RTK (writings): 2078 kanji -- 15 more than last week
RTK (readings): 58 cards -- 42 more than last week
10000 sentences method: 91 sentences -- 21 more than last week
Read the Kanji: -- didn't get to do so much
JLPT4: tested 103 kanji (0 left); tested 523 words (0 left)-- 86 % correct on both
JLPT3: tested 164 kanji (17 left) -- 84 % correct; tested 164 words (346 left) -- 76 % correct
For this week, I just try to continue with more of the same. The only real study time I'm likely to have is on the train, so I'll just have to make the best of it.
Anki is still behaving a little strangely. Sometimes it shows the right number of cards in each deck, other times it doesn't. But as long as the cards are still there, I guess it doesn't matter.

Log update:
I'm getting busier and busier at work, so I'm having to find ways to squeeze in Japanese. I don't get much time for doing reviews because I have to go online to do it and I get home so late because of doing overtime. Sometimes I can go online and do some reviews at lunch, but lately I haven't been able to do that either. So I didn't get to do all my reviews everyday, and some days I didn't get to do any. I had to do a lot of catching up on Saturday. I fail a lot higher percentage of cards when that happens than when I review everyday. That's kind of depressing.
During the week, I mostly do as much reading as I can on the train. I also make cards with sentences and kanji compounds in a Word file so I can paste them in Anki later.
I look forward to the second half of the year when I'll have more time.
Progress update:
RTK (writings): 2089 kanji
RTK (readings): 85 cards
10000 sentences method: 110 sentences
Read the Kanji:
JLPT4: tested all words and kanji
JLPT3: tested 164 kanji (17 left); tested 170 words (340 left)

Hi Brun Ugle! Sounds like lately everyone is having a bit of trouble finding much time to
study. Do you have an mp3 player? Maybe you could begin to work on your listening
comprehension a bit more in your spare moments. I remember you saying that was one
of your weaker areas.
Not being able to get through all the required reps on an SRS every day is one of the
reasons I gave up on using one regularly for vocabulary study. :/
Well, good luck! Hopefully things will get less busy- for both of us- soon! 頑張って! :)

I hope I'm able to post this. My internet connection is a bit unstable today. I didn't post anything last week, so I want to make sure to do something today.
I've been working a lot lately, and unfortunately 14-hour days are not compatible with good language study. I didn't get to do much reviewing this week until Saturday and I haven't added any words or sentences to my SRS lately. It's very frustrating, but I know that this is the way my job is. We work like crazy from January to June, then take a long vacation in the summer, and have comparatively little work in the fall. Which means hopefully, that I will be able to do some catching up in the second half of the year.
Even though I'm not able to do as much as I want, I do feel I'm learning a bit, just not as quickly as I'd like.
I would definitely like to get an mp3-player as Luai-lashire suggests. Actually, I've wanted one for about 10 years. I'm not sure what one to get. I don't know if I'll listen to much music, probably mostly podcasts, news, audio books, etc. So I probably don't need anything fancy, I guess. They're mostly very expensive though, so I don't want to waste my money getting the wrong kind.
