That may be so, but you'll have to cite different sources than the Chinese Government website for a lot of us to believe that. The Chinese government excels in propaganda and censorship, so I and many others won't consider them a reliable source.

I can read it, thanks. However, as it mentioned, the change took place between 1949 and the time this article was written. Do you have an idea when it happened? I don't know many details, but it's at least some 30 years ago. Apparently, such programs have been stopped for a long time.

About the TV program, yes they are only some isolated shows. And honestly, I didn't know it was so difficult to find Cantonese movie even in Foshan. I'll make a search about it. Thank you for the information.

Come on, so you cite data from whatever other sources and call them reliable? I doubt the reliability of data from Chinese government sites as much as I doubt those from BBC, wiki, etc.

Better go there, and see it for yourself.

Excuse me but why do we have to go so politics in this language learning forum?

I support all the efforts of protecting the fragile Tibet languages, in particular when the local government is not doing an excellent job. What puzzles me is that why the efforts have to be "Free Tibet"?

Besides blaming Chinese government, I believe that there are many more effective things we can do.
