I'd appreciate it if anyone could point me in the direction of a good Catalan dictionary, be it online or hard copy and from Catalan-English/English-Catalan or Catalan-Spanish/Spanish-Catalan. Monolingual dictionaries are also welcome.
Thanks in advance.

Fortunately, two of the best monolingual dictionaries are available online.
Gran diccionari de la llengua catalana (Diccionaris de l'Enciclopèdia):

Diccionari de la llengua catalana (Institut d'Estudis Catalans):

I have the Oxford Catalan-English Dictionary, which is very good.

I have a two-way English Catalan-English Pocket Larousse which is handy and quite good. And I also have the two dicionaris from the Enciclopèdia Catalana, one in each direction with each around 30.000 headwords, and I use those as supplement to the Larousse thing. So including the Oxford dictionary it seems that Catalan is reasonable well taken care of by the dictionary publishers.
On the internet there is first and foremost the net version of the Enciclopèdia Catalana.

Thanks for the responses so far. I'm still undecided on which hard copy to buy. It would be convenient to get one from Amazon, but I might just wait until I'm next in Barcelona and get a Spanish-Catalan version.
