TAC 2009 Day 43
I had a conversation session today that mostly centered around Cyworld and NateOn. Also, this morning my copy of Cracking the Chinese Puzzles arrived, so I am excited to start on that.

TAC 2009 Day 44
And in the evening I read chapter 4 of Harry Potter. I also started looking through CTCP, but it was stuff I already knew so far.

TAC 2009 Day 46
I read most of chapter 6 of Harry Potter. I also checked out The Golden Compass from the library which might be a step up from my current book.

TAC 2009 Day 47
I finished chapter 6 of Harry Potter, and read both 동물원 and 빵점 맞은 날. (무서워!)
I've been trying to keep a little diary in Cyworld, and today I will treat you, my readers, to today's entry. I think the first sentence is a little messed up, but this is off the top of my head. Give me a break!
Anyway, I'm experimenting a bit with composition, and trying to find the most effective way without building bad habits. Once I have done this for a while longer, I'll put up a post with my thoughts on the approach I'm taking.

Tell me about it. I just had my term papers.
"오늘 일하는 동안 조금 심심했지만 아주 나쁜 날은 아닌 것 같아. 집에 돌아오고 계속 공부했어. 쉬운 책 2권이랑 해리포터 읽었어. 어제밤 한국어 도서관에서 여러책들을 빌렸거든~

1. You can't use 동안 and 때 together. 동안 is used to refer to the period. 때 is used to refer to that particular time. Since being bored is a continuous thing (You can't be bored at only one point) you have to use 동안. It's like difference between
a) I got bored doing homework (동안)
b) When you do homework, you shouldn't get bored (때)
2. 심심하다 is "to be bored" on its own. So you don't have to add -해졌- to convey the meaning you want in this context.
3. Adding -은 makes it more natural. -같아 is an ending/verb used to add you opinion, and it's VERY frequently used in Korean even if you wouldn't use it in English.
e.g. 아주 나쁜 날은 아닌 것 같아. - I don't think it was a really bad day ->It wasn't a really bad day (for me).
4. I think you excessively use -도. It means "also, too" but it's used in a different way from English - and by no ways does it mean "and"!
To use -도, you use it for both (or all) of the objects you want to talk about.
e.g. 나는 집도 돈도 친구도 없다고..
5. I can't explain why, but in that context 만화영화들이 is correct, not 만화영화들은. The latter sounds a bit artificial and non-Korean
Good luck! :)

Thank you so much!
I think I'm in a much better position now to digest these points than when I was writing before. The next one will be better, I promise!
