Buttons,
You probably should build up your French and Spanish first. Especially if you're on a learning high at the moment. German can wait. It's the least of my concerns anyway. I much prefer Spanish and French.
As for your encounter, I think it is great. I know a few Spaniards who can't speak English, but who have learnt French, doesn't seem to be too rare a thing. Good for you, and I understand the problem of mixing french and Spanish. I do it a bit, but for somereason I throw Italian words into the mix.
Keep it up.
Thom.

I mean the number of mainland Europeans I have met who have said "Oh I only speak a little bit of English" and then proceed in perfect, fluent English is pretty considerable. |

I too have found this to be true. Seriously though, I'm not stalking you through the forum.

Hey!
I just wanted to say 'grats :-p
I'm also shamelessly barging in to let you know that I have Skype and that I am willing to voice chat and teach French (I practiced my French teaching skills on American friends, you'll prolly better than them but hey).
You won't even have to listen to my awful English accent, because I sort of gave up on that. I hope you can do with a pseudo-American accent =)
Anyways, if you don't have Skype or a microphone, well we could write anyway!
Just a thought ~
