FSI Basic 2 - I have more trouble with the consonant sounds than the vowels in the last unit. This unit seems much harder. And now I've asked where the bathroom is in 2 of my 3 courses.
Pimsleur 19 MT Adv CD 1, second half (because I clicked the wrong folder) and CD 2 tracks 6-9ish. It got to late to think. I'm going to re-read my copy of the first Harry Potter and then do some of the Listening-Reading method over Christmas. I can get a copy of the book in Spanish at the book store tomorrow. I mainly want to get my ears used to the machine gun sound of Spanish and be able to distinguish words. We'll see how it works out. I think the audio for once through is almost 9 hours, and as I understand I first read the Spanish, then the English, then I shadow the audio, and last I translate. But with a light schedule and crappy weather now is a good time to try it. I will keep on schedule with Pimsleur and FSI if possible, but I'm going to restart MT Advanced afterwords. 1 person has voted this message useful | |

FSI Basic 2
Pimsleur 20 - which didn't go well, the focus was on "leaving" with them using vamos/voy/va and me thinking salgo/etc. Listened to Harry Potter 1: chapters 1-6 while looking at Spanish text. That was interesting. I was going to do more but my brain rebelled. I'll try for Chapters 7-12 tomorrow I guess and maybe finish on Christmas after the kids are playing with their toys. Then I'll have to decide if I want to go through the Spanish text again, or use the English. And I have to figure out how to "data-mine" it into Anki. Anki - added about 200 cards, I'm up to Pimsleur 12 (which is very repetitious, and I don't add much) and all of Michel Thomas Basic. FSI Basic 2 & 3 (twice on 3, mostly just listened the second time)
Harry Potter - listening to Spanish while reading the English, ch. 1-3. Pimsleur 24 (reviewed) and 25 Michel Thomas Adv. CD2 tracks 1-3 (I'm just going easy on this, but its easy for when I'm doing dishes or other boring tasks.) This took a big chunk of time, even though I'm multitasking a lot of it (while feeding the baby, doing dishes or playing wow with my DH).
