I just started learning Arabic and I don't know where to start in terms of books and cds I may need. Obviously pimsluer but what else? No MSA stuff though because I don't feel like learning it until later on.

IMHO, that's a bad idea. You may want lo learn both or at least the basics of MSA.

- Leslie McLoughlin - Colloquial Arabic (Levantine) (good book for beginners, despite the bad reviews on Amazon)
- FSI : Levantine and Egyptian Arabic - Comparative Study (nice summary of Egyptian and Levantine grammars)
