Some languages in the Assimil series are followed by an advanced course but most are not. Does any one have a certain course they use after assimil courses that dont have an advanced course?

After the beginner level course I would usually start with native materials, like radio, tv, books, and newspapers. Assimil is a great base level course, and their advanced courses are great too (but harder to come across) With German Without Toil, after I'm finished I'm probably going to go through the full FSI program to really drill in grammar and the cases, because it's something I'm not very used to.
