OBSERVATIONS:
IMPROVEMENTS NEEDED FOR SPEAKING
I just finished the FAO Intermediate French Oral Part, which included a reading section and speaking section. The reading section was a piece of cake where I read sentences out aloud. Whereas, the speaking section contained open-ended questions which I had to answer and talk about various topics. I found that I need to improve on my speaking ability for open-ended questions and random topics and talking! hmmm how can I practice for that? Sentence construction and organising my thoughts needs some work too - I made a few ummms and ahhhs, which I did with a french accent - BUT STILL! I want to be just as good with my communication in french as I am in English where I rarely do umms and ahhs. I knew what I coudl say and how to say it all, ubt I guess with the pressure and having to organise my thoughts quickly - I need more practice for speaking french! Any suggestions? hmm I should check the forum regarding any 'speaking french' topics or tips, and the ability to think on my feet in French.
What's my gut feeling about whether I passed? I feel I passed! let's see the passing certificate come within the next few weeks! hooray. Now for the writing section after lunch
AN ACE AT WRITING IN FRENCH
I also had to do a writing test today, which I just finished, and I feel very very comfortable about. I wrote 4 pages each for a letter and a memorandum! I'm definite that I've passed that. I'm so proud of myself. I was so happy seeing all the French sentences and paragraphs I wrote - "I did that?" YES. wow! I can't wait to see my big fat PASS for these exams, which will definitely boost up my international career. woohoo - I hear the passing certificate will come in early July =)
