My point is: even though it is rarely used in Brazil, it's not such a big deal. Most people I know have never noticed my using it. And people sometimes use it in writing (at least people who actually can write).

I'm almost finished with the FSI From Spanish to Portuguese.
I did a lesson of Ta Falado on "Palatalization" that I found very interesting because its a feature thats really stood out to me as a Spanish speaker. I love "Ta Falado" and plan to use it regularly. It's really great. Its made for English speakers that know some Spanish and wish to learn Portuguese. And the format is great, I feel like I'm listening to a fun radio show.
