Does anyone know of a website where I can practice listening to dictations (in Spanish), writing down the words, and then checking my work? Thanks for your help! Gracias!

I love this blog: http://ssl4you.blogspot.com/

Teresa Sanchez, the blogger, posts podcasts in which she talks about all sorts of topics. A transcript is provided for the first part of each podcast (sort of the formal, pre-written part), so you can thus practise your listening skills and compare to the written version.

The rest of each podcast consists of Teresa explaining the meaning of the formal part of the podcast, which provides further listening practice (although there's no transcript for this part).

I love her podcasts because of the diversity of everyday topics and even though I'm only quite a beginner, I find that I can understand almost everything (or at least understand the gist) of what she's saying.
