Could I request a permanent area/thread were we can share idiomatic 'interpretations'?

I don't directly translate a lot of my English into French/Italian (but not yet Polish) because I realise it will not make sense in that language if word for word translations are used.

Could/Should we build a 'good' comparative idiomatic glossary ? If its not been done before. If so point me at it, please.
