Hey, I've been enjoying your log as one of the other French learners here. Can I ask you what exactly you're doing with Assimil at the moment? You're transcribing it? Can you explain a little of your process? Thanks!
It's actually been interesting to compare vocabulary also, some times we end up learning similarly bizarre words at the same time, for example I justed récolter like yesterday.

Hi, glad to see you are enjoying my record :)
Basically, I listen to an exercise through. Then, I listen to it again, this time frequently pausing it to allow me time to write down what I thought I heard. If I can't get a word, I just write three question marks in the space. Finally, I compare the book transcript to what I wrote, and look for mistakes and new words. Its very good.
