Well, first of all this is the wrong forum. What does this have to do with the Multilingual Lounge at all? This is rather a topic for the General discussion board or the Beginner forum, for example.
Maybe Wikipedia is a good first address to get more information about sign languages.
And you should check your spelling. Look what it says above the reply box.

Take it easy, mister.
She didn't make any serious -spelling- mistakes, besides she's probably still learning English and has therefore decided not to add it to her language learning profile.
...C'est le ton qui fait la chanson.
Apart from that, agreed - it belongs in the beginner/general forum rather than the multilingual lounge.

She has English in her language profile. However, if you look at her spelling mistakes you see it's plain inadvertency and sloppiness.
My post wouldn't have been that "drastic" on the whole if this was a single occasion, but this "happens" to her all the time, I mean both her spelling mistakes and other things such as posting in the wrong forums and the like.

Well about sign langage, I would say that it's much easer to learn when you can practice it. Since there are no writing system (yet?) you can use videos to take notes (thank you technology!). The general structure is quite different. For example, to translate a text, you would have to completly reorganize it. Things are said in order of appearance : when, where, "actors", what's happening. Just like in a film or theatre. Ofen, you "become" the caracters of the story you're telling (the child, the monster, the car, the old guy, the cat, the flower, the bee....)
