Mistaken for a Turkish Cypriot

Turkish Cypriots are the oldest layer of Turkish-language speakers to settle in Britain in any numbers.

I wondered if I had pronunciation traits (I have a Scottish accent) which, carried into speaking Turkish, may have sounded a bit Cypriot. I don't know, as I don't actually know any Turkish Cypriots.
