Using my android tablet I use kindle and Mantano Reader. I thinks this are more user friendly, so you spent less time learning the app and more time reading. On the ipad I use the default.

If I'm sitting at the computer, because, I use Linux OS, I use Calibre. Moreover if the file, document and/or book is in pdf format I like to use evince because allow me to make annotations on it.
