I'm interested in taking exams where I'm tested over a range rather than at one specific level, as I'm never quite certain which level would best suit.
I'm already familiar with IELTS (English) from friends who have taken the test to get into university in UK, and I know that TestDaF (German) covers CEF levels B2.1 to C1.2, which I'm considering taking later this year. However, that's where my knowledge of proficiency tests for "language ranges" stops.
