A notable Hungarian polyglot of the late 19th and early 20th century, whose contributions
to knowledge of the Iranian languages in particular were well-known in his time, though
only in the Hungarian version of Wikipedia is there a Wiki article about him.

In the URL I posted, Kegl gives a Romanised transcription of some Ottoman Turkish poetry.
He wrote it well before a Latin alphabet was adopted for Turkish, but Kegl's Romanisation
anticipates it, even though it naturally has Hungarian spelling features, like sz
for the sound English speakers express with s.
