Thanks all! I'm ordering some DVD's now. Not sure if i will go with a region free DVD player, or use VLC on my pc, but will work that out as I wait for the to arrive.

Last time I went to Japan, I brought back a $20 DVD player. Solved the problem. Go to your nearest Chinatown and see if you can buy a cheap player from the right zone.
