For some unknown reason, I am unable to access the FSI link (fsi-language-courses.org/) that I was able to access not so long ago. Does anyone else have the same problem?

The site has been down for the past couple of days. It went off-line for several days a few weeks ago, but came back up shortly thereafter. Accordingly, it seems likely that it will be back fairly soon.

In the meantime, if there are materials that you need from the site, you might ask here on the forum; a fair number of people have downloaded some of the materials there, and just might be able to help you out.

Thanks for notifying me about this. I was just under the impression that the website had been permanently taken down.

Have mercy, I was startled to find the link offline and feared it was permanently down.

Given the public domain status of the courses, there is no reason why the FSI Courses site should be the only repository of these materials. What can we do about setting up a mirror or torrents for these materials?

Same question for the DLI courses.

Internet Archive has some of the texts available. I recall a passing comment by VagabondPilgrim (or was it gdfellows?) that the textbooks of what was found to be the more popular languages were being loaded to Internet Archive to keep bandwidth traffic at a reasonable level on fsi-language-courses.org. Some of the links on fsi-language-courses.org have already been pointing to Internet Archive for a while.

I put in an email to the site administrators to see if I could learn more information. In the meantime, I am doing what I can to archive courses from the Wayback Machine. Not all of the courses have been captured by the WBM, but some have.

It would be a shame if these courses are lost.

After it went down last time I downloaded most of the contents from the site. Worst case scenario, I can
replace all of the full courses and some of the ofher languages as well.

Yeah, I wanted to download their Serbo-Croatian course. If anyone has that please pm me
with a link (not to a torrent but a mirror).
