Hi all, Why, in the following sentence, does corretto follow USO? Any help/advice will be appreciated.

Thanks. I have been trying to learn Italian for some (considerable) time. Each time I make a new effort to
learn Italian I seem to get stuck on some aspect of grammer. In this case I was puzzled on the role of 'USO'. That is treating it as a verb, 'to use'. Your answer has cleared that confusion up. Please look out for my further requests for help! 1 person has voted this message useful | |

Uso is a synonym for utilizzo.
As in English the same word can be used both as a verb and as a noun: Io uso - I use l'uso principale - the main use 2 persons have voted this message useful |
