What verb is vécu formed from in the following sentence? (It is from Assimil NFWE lesson 108, by the way):
Il y a plein de gens célèbres qui y ont vécu.

vivre, I remember guessing at this with "euuh J'y ai vivu?" with a tutor and getting a
quick correction.

I literally didn't believe it the first time I heard it actually! Kept asking the French
native whether I had heard wrong. Had to check the etymology on Wiktionary.

Just to add a little something, "vécu" is also used as a (masculine) noun, meaning "life experience", "life events", or "(personal) background."
