Impressive :)
The main problem I have had both times I have tried to learn Czech is the pronunciation, especially that dreadful ř. But it is definitely still in my top three languages to learn properly some day :)

I just sound Russian. I'm not sure that's the way to go, but it's a way to go.

In a blatant rip-off of basica's log, I decided to record myself speaking Croatian :D
Actually I was inspired by basica's posting earlier in the week and it made me feel
ashamed that I don't make more effort to practise speaking Croatian. I am technically
supposed to be doing the Output Challenge, after all!
Well, I now have an extra five minutes to add to my paltry total for the speaking part
of the challenge. I decided not to make any notes in advance and just say basic things
about myself, which would be easy... it turned out not to be easy at all and if I do
it again I am definitely making notes, at least of things I want to speak about so
that my mind doesn't go blank.
When I listened to it back I noticed several case errors already. Grrr. And somewhere
in the middle I took leave of my senses and initiated a sentence which required the
word Switzerland, when attentive readers of this log will know that I simply CANNOT
remember the word for Switzerland.
If you want to listen, it's here. I'm
off to write "Švicarska" out 100 times...

Good job, especially since you didn't prepare anything beforehand. :)
Instead of writing it out 100 times, listen to this song and memorize the chorus. :D

Thank you, that is so useful :D I have just listened to it five times on repeat and
perhaps if I do that every day for a week the correct word will sink into my head :)

It was fun listening to you! I could follow along with what you were saying though a
couple words slipped by me (Will give it another listen when I'm back from work). You did
well, when I was speaking it felt like I was like taking forever conjugating verbs and
all that, and you seem to have far less of a problem with that :) Look forward to hearing
more! :)

Great recording! Have you thought of doing some shadowing?
You immediately sounded so relaxed when you mentioned German and Esperanto :D
I'm almost surprised that you didn't say Švicarska repeatedly while being there :D But then again this is a foolproof way of learning months and days of the week but I still have many gaps, especially with the Slavic months :D

Glad if you were able to follow what I was
saying :) I think my biggest problem was just
trying to think of words I wanted to say
quickly enough in real time. I definitely need
more practice!
Serpent, remind me what shadowing is again! Is
that where you listen to a text while
following it on a page? If so, I'm sure it
would help my pronunciation but when I wanted
to try it before, the only source I could find
for which I had both audio and the text was
one of the Fifty Shades sequels!!
