About a week ago, I posted a few paragraphs to Lang-8 in French, and I was hoping to have the work corrected, but to this day, nothing.
The first time I posted to Lang-8 the corrections were made in a matter of hours. The following few times it took a little longer, but all the corrections were still completed within 24 hours. Now, with this most recent post, it's been about a week, if not longer. Can someone help me make heads or tails out of this. (And, yes, I'm using the free version.) Thanks! Are you actively helping others by making corrections of your own?

@Small White - Yes, the language selected to be correct is indeed "French."
@eyðimörk - I've been pulling my weight. I have only received 7 corrections, yet I have made 11. Some of which have been rather extensive. So, I'm stumped as to what it could be. Edited by issemiyaki on 25 January 2015 at 6:05pm 1 person has voted this message useful | |||

The only thing i can think of is that maybe the texts are too long? Also, when checking out the pages of people i've received corrections from, they often have several texts from months back that never received corrections. Not receiving corrections is much more common for English learners.
Another idea is that maybe you wrote them perfectly and no one has any corrections for you ;) 1 person has voted this message useful | |||

It's perfectly normal for lang-8. Not everything gets corrected, and if it doesn't get corrected within a couple of days, then it disapppears under the new entries. If you keep posting regularly, some correctors will begin to look out for your entries. On the other hand, if lots of people have been viewing the entry and no one has corrected, then it may be too long, or in some part incomprehensible. 2 persons have voted this message useful | |||

Try to add your TL native speakers as friends so your posts appear right on top. It's even better to find those that are studying your native language so you can help them back.

It also seems to vary according to the language. When I post something in Mandarin or
Portuguese, for example, it's often corrected within minutes by several people. However I have a hard time getting my German entries corrected.
