Hi guys. I noticed last night that Linguaphone has a sale and they also offer 21 day
return policy. Their courses are expensive, but seem to be well respected on this forum
(at least older versions). I figured some of you may find that information useful.
Does anyone know which Linguaphone courses are updated to new versions and how do they
compare to the older ones? I think I read here that French and Spanish are new and the
quality has dropped noticeably. I mean the "complete" courses, not the AllTalk stuff.

Only French and Spanish have been updated - the others are the same courses from the
1970s and 80s.
The new courses are indeed inferior to the 1970s courses but they are more user friendly
- they seem to be aimed at 1990s corporate culture. This is not to say they are 'bad' -
but rather throwing the learning in at the deep end, they begin like a Berlitz course
with tourist phrases and expand from there. This means they don't go so far.
