Soooo I decided that I needed to improve my Spanish since I never learned it at school. Everything I know I learned from just speaking with my family and watching tv/movies in Spanish growing up. I can read and understand it completely but I would like to dedicate some time to practice writing it so I bought myself a book on advanced Spanish grammar. This will be good as I plan to return to Mexico in the near future. It is then essential that I practice my Spanish both speaking and writing! Ich begine!

I've decided to keep a grand total of the time I spend studying each language so I can do some evaluations. These are just estimates that I have calculated (time from school, michel thomas, pimsleurs, textbooks, movies, etc) from when I started learning each language.
French:---113 Hours 30 min
Russian:--103 Hours 50 min
German:---67 Hours 30 min
Italian:------7 Hours
Ukrainian:---5 Hours (Not studying actively)
Mandarin:---3 Hours (Not studying actively)
I will update these numbers perhaps every Friday rather than daily.

Russian:
Listened to a Russian podcast: 45 min
Listened to Learn in your car Russian: Level II lesson 28-34: 35 min
Total 1hr 25 min

French: Started doing Pimsleurs French II again since I stopped using it in April. I left off on Level II Unit 20
Today I completed Unit 20 & Unit 21. I was able to get by both of them with minimal mistakes. I guess my French isn't THAT bad...as I originally thought. I know I still need much much more work though :]:

French:
Today I completed Pimsleurs French II Unit 22 & 23. I had to do Unit 23 TWICE. Why? Well I had work today at 12 pm (and no ride :[) so I left home at 10. It was pretty sunny with some dark clouds but I didnt think much of it since I checked the weather before leaving (it was suppose to be sunny/cloudy). So as I leave home I turn on my iPod Touch and begin listening to Unit 22. I make my usual stop at 7-11 to get some coffee (I hear coffee is good for the memory, now if that is true im not entirely sure). Anyway It does something because while I drink coffee and listen to Pimsleurs I am more into it.
A bit off track :]. So I get to the bus stop 15 min later with half of the lesson done. I get on the bus 10 minutes later so I am almost done. When I reach the train station which is the half way point of my journey I have completed the lesson and I look out the window and it starts pouring..I begin thinking "oh crap, it better clear up in the next few minutes or else I am going to have to walk through this". So as I near my destination it starts raining even harder and it was at that point that I knew I had to walk the mile it takes to get to work in this storm... that came out of no where. So basically the whole 15 min it takes to reach work I was listening to unit 23 but I wasn't repeating or learning much since I was too focused on what I was going to do when I get to work in soaked clothes. Fortunately we sell clothes there so I was some what relieved and I really did need new pants so I didn't complain much. I began to feel a bit sick though at work but I was told if I could "Pull through it" sure why not? Anyways I thought I would share a bit of my day with you all. I did though complete Unit 23 on my way back home :)
Yeah I currently don't have a car so I have to do a LOT of walking...which! I am fine with because 1) it's good exercise, 2) it keeps me from getting lazy, and 3) I always have some Pimsleur/Michel Thomas lessons to do and what better way to do them while walking? :]
Now if I had one I don't know if I would have been this far with the lessons.
Так...1 hour 30 min - 30 min of time wasted =
1 hour (overall for french today)
With the other 30 min I divided 15 min for German level II Unit 12 and Russian Level III Unit 27.
French: 1 hour
Russian: 15 min
German 15 min
By the way I LOVE the rain. I don't think there is any other better way to spend a nice rainy cold day, studying languages, drinking some green tea, with a few candles lit and while leaving the window open so I can hear the sound of rain. Very relaxing :].

Update:
French: It's currently 1:27 AM. I can't sleep because I just had 2 cups of green tea and earlier I drank a Pepsi all in one gulp (sort of). Too much caffeine :].
In order to keep myself entertained I began searching on iTunes store for some good French/German music. One of the things I like about iTunes is that it allows you to listen to the song for a few seconds. I browsed through a bunch of artist but most of them didn't seem to excite me much until I came across someone by the name "Jacqueline Taïeb".
I listened to the preview of the song "7 heure du mat" by her and I liked what I heard so I had to get it and instead of just purchasing the song by itself I bought the whole album by mistake. Oh well not much I could do at that point. I am actually glad I purchased the whole album now because as I started listening to other tracks I fell in love. Especially with these two songs "Le printemps à Paris" and "Bienvenue au pays". I don't know what it is about them but they are great. She has such a lovely voice! I think she might have made me want to learn French even more :]
If you are learning French or are looking for some good music, check her out, maybe you will be just as fascinated as me :]
Jacqueline Taïeb is her name.
Listened to the entire album
