Latin: No latin today. I hurt my hand and took sometime to take care of it. French: FSI: Tape 10.2. ~29 minutes Reading. ~14 minutes Total time in french: 43 minutes PS: I'm reading Aristotle's Poetics, and there are lots of commentaries of many authors in the footnotes, in french, latin, Italian, English and German. It's very exciting when someone notices its developpment. Latin: Declensions. ~5 minutes Verbs. ~10 minutes New vocabulary. ~3 minutes Translation from latin to portuguese. ~7 minutes New vocabulary. ~5 minutes Translation from portuguese to latin. ~9 minutes Total time in latin: 39 minutes French: Reading LeMonde.fr. ~21 minutes Watching this video: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EqKbVSLf4R8. ~3 minutes. I understood about 50% of the words, but understood the ideas. I should practice more this; so, I'll start, from now on, to watch more videos on youtube. Watching this: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SK9SsfZTdAA&feature=related. ~2 minutes. I understood everything that the narrator said. The audio quality of the other people's speaking wasn't good. Watching this video: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UTZPHBrVHHE&feature=channel. ~1 minute. There are people that talk too fast. Those I couldn't understand. Of the others, I took 70% of the words. Damn, I left this page opened and went to the university, and when I came back my sister had closed it. Let me write what I remember: Latin: No. I had a really bad day, couldn't concentrate too much on studies - as I couldn't even study law well. French: I made an effort here, as I need to improve it urgently for the exchange reasons - the tests are in April 1st, oral and written parts. FSI: Tape 10.6. ~32 minutes Reading LeMonde.fr. ~17 minutes Watching videos. ~8 minutes (I remember that here I had understood ~50-70% of the spoken words, but understood the ideas. I have to improve it a little more.) Total time in french: 57 minutes Italian: Finally, my first of the six books I intend to read this year. I started today to read Matilde Serao's "L'infedele". It's an easy book - I read the 1st chapter and understood more than 95% of the words. It was 8 pages, and I took 50-55 minutes to read them. It's a little slow, but I'll improve it by practicing. Latin: Declensions. ~10 minutes Verbs. ~5 minutes Pronouns review. ~6 minutes 3rd conjugation. ~11 minutes New vocabulary. ~5 minutes Translation from latin to portuguese. ~8 minutes New vocabulary. ~2 minutes Translation from portuguese to latin. ~7 minutes Total time in latin: 54 minutes French: FSI: Tape 10.7. ~30 minutes Total time in french: 30 minutes Italian: I read the 2nd chapter of the book today. It was 7 pages, and I took 45 minutes to do it. The first 2 pages were a little difficult, with many new words - there was a description there (understanding about 75% of the words).
