Never having met an Uzbek, I can't really fairly comment on that. Moving right along...

Heisig 1605. I finally managed to pick up the pace a little bit. Unfouruntitly, this also means the pace of reviews is picking up as well. That is an issue for another day (or more likely sometime next week). Another lesson of Genki out of the way as well.

Spanish is where I'm making better progress. Finshed off my textbook by clearing three lessons out, so I actually will have reached one goal at least. I'll have to find a new source of vocab though, unless I'm returning to the "rum" and "skiff" filled world of my book. We'll see

I became unexpectedly busy over the last two weeks and was unable to do much of anythng productive beyond some JPod listening. This "break" meant that I had the horrifying prospect of 763 unreviewed kanji waiting for me. It seems as if my goal of RTK 1 by mid-August won't happen. Oh, well, its not exactly like I have any serious need to get it done.

On the plus side, I watched "Lost in Translation" with Bill Murray and way able to get a good amount of the Japanese spoken there, so that helped me feel better.

Still continuing to build Spanish vocabulary, and picking up the pace. I think I may be able to get several hundred words done for the summer, which is pretty good for my second priority language.

So I haven't posted in a while, because...well, there hasn't really been much to post. I've been adding Spanish vocab still, and got through another lesson of Genki, but that massive stack of RTK reviews is sucking up too much time and effort and I still haven't gotten it to zero yet. Hopefully my next post will have more progress.

This is where my summer ends, because I am back in school, so less time for learning languages (except of course, in school approved ways). It seems fitting to tally up where I ended this summer.

Heisig 1630-dissapointing, but given that I unexpectedly had to give up two weeks, plus trying to catch up with reviews, this isn't that horrible.
Genki halfway through chapeter 9-dissapointing again, and no real excuse this time. I needed to make more time
Tae Kim-just pretty much forgot about this.
JapanesePod-not bad. I listened at least once a day.

Spanish book-finished my textbook, so at least there is some complete sucess.
Reading various Spanish things-got through one book and some BBC mundo, so a mixed bag here.
Spanish vocab-a few hundred new words. Good sucess here i feel.

So that is that. thanks for following and I hope you all have longer summers than I do.
