Well that is a hell of coincidince, if they are alphabetical then why is German 11th? Still, quite amusing.

Because while Class I languages are said to take 24 weeks, German is classified as slightly more complicated with about 30 weeks.

Depends. I think French or Spanish. Living in Belgium I am learning French and Dutch, and whilst my French is very strong, Dutch is still limping along. Part of the reason is that written French looks quite a bit like written English, whilst Dutch words always look very long and alien to me. Regularly there will be a public notice in Brussels, and I'll read the Dutch, and after a couple of tricky words, flip to the French version, and read it easily.
