What if, for even the most complex language, you could reach native fluency in a week?
The catch is, no matter how many languages you learn you must practice them every day or you will forget what you learned, even in just a day you would need to restart. Thoughts? Goals? 1 person has voted this message useful | |||

I think I would not be so mad about foreign languages if acquiring native fluency lasted only a week.
In my opinion, part of the satisfaction you have when learning a language is due to the fact that, after long hours of perspirating while declining adjectives and nouns, you have finally managed to have a simple conversation with a native speaker of that language. If learning a language lasted only a few days, everything would be too easy. Or maybe it is just me, I personally like complicated stuff... But, this would surely make my childhood dream of learning all the languages spoken in the present or past in the Universe possible! 2 persons have voted this message useful | |||

Quite, it is more of a bitter-sweet concept. You would miss the fun journey of learning languages but if you are about results this would definitely be for you. I personally think that a week for native fluency in languages like Arabic would be too easy, but I don't want to spend years of my life as I am not a very focused person, but unfortunately, the only way to speed up language learning is by getting a better method and being motivated, but it still can take up to a year for any language depending on how you study. 1 person has voted this message useful | |||

Yeah, I'd be speaking so many languages by now, and that does sound very attractive. And
sometimes you need to speak a language FAST. But the feeling of acheivement'd be non-existent, and it does feel good to have done something that wasn't so easy. And speaking other languages wouldn't be a notable thing for anybody, so it wouldn't give you any advantage when looking for a job, for what that's worth. 1 person has voted this message useful | |||

I don't know about a week, but there are new health products coming soon that could cut the time to learn down 75% or more

Scientific American and BBC's Focus magazine, which are both very interesting.
