That's all very well, but they do specify that quite a lot of the languages are only spoken by one or two people in the city, so aren't really used for "communication". They're just known, essentially. Parts of Belgium (I can't remember a specific city) have a considerable amount of languages spoken constantly. It's not 800, but it's plenty.
That's an interesting link though. I haven't watched the video yet I admit.
