Im set to be taking an official class this next semester to boost my self-studying and Im
realizing that....last time I took an "official" German class I was 15 and I think I
still wrote in girly bubble letters. Now, and for almost a decade solid, Ive written in
nothing but block letters (all caps).
Has anyone come across this proposed difficulty? Im thinking that im just going to have
to suck it up and write "normal". I was thinking of making my normal letters small (still
caps though) and my actual caps really large, but Ive done that and I can barely tell the
difference. Underlining them sounds like a pain in the butt too. Anything I havent
thought of? I really dont want to drive the teacher nuts LOL.

You should probably suck it up and write small letters anyway.
But capitalization in German is just a meaningless convention, and except for Sie/sie, you're unlikely to cause any confusion.

Yes, and for studying on my own it doesnt matter, but the teacher will certainly mark me
down for it. I will probably end up just writing "normal". Argh, I hate conforming LOL

You could learn any Asian language and not have to worry about that. But then again, no
offense, but not doing something correctly tends to show laziness and what not. That's
what I've ran in to with a lot of people.
I used to do the sms talk in irc, msn, etc. Now I type English correctly. When I talk to
people that do the sms talk, it drives me nuts. xP
