Slightly off topic but Bela Lugusi, if you love Russian music and you aren't already aware of them, 5'nizza is one of my favourite bands ever!

You're right, they're good! I bought their first album in Russia a few years ago. Great stuff! But hey, thanks anyway! :) I usually listen to Kino, Agata Kristi or Ariya, that's my RUS Top3.

OK, that's all. Let's get back to the original topic.

Learning Latin opened my eyes and made Romance languages very easy.

English definitely. For some reason, English literature is my favourite. And then I've derived no small pleasure from all the films I've seen in English and discussions that I've read and participated in on the Internet. Yeah, a whole new world.

But I'm also now fascinated with Hindi. It's so much fun learning it through all the wonderful songs from Bollywood movies. I've enjoyed myself thoroughly so far discovering this rich culture.

I can only compare my experience of having been able to speak German natively when I was
younger and now Chinese fairly fluently now. Without a doubt the most culturally
rewarding language is Chinese.

It's allowed me access to a huge geographical area. I have contact with a one of the
oldest civilization in the world that has been the least touched by the Western powers. I
can use it to experience the economic miracle of Eastern China or see the mountains of
Tibet. China the most populous nation on the earth is rammed with culture and history. In
just the 5 years that I've been here I've been lucky to be witness one of the greatest
changes the country and the world has gone/is going through.
