I found languages easier at school than some other subjects. But I don't know if it was all talent or even inclination. I had some early experience of non-English-speaking environments, so where German or French might have seemed boring and worthless to others, especially if they spent their whole lives in monoglot English environments, to me it was something that could actually be used.
