There may already be a thread on this, but I can't find it. I'm looking for a podcast in slow Italian. My listening skills are not developed enough for most of the podcasts I've found. I'm hoping for something similar to Langsam gesprochene Nachrichten - although something even slower would be preferable. Has anyone come across something that fits the bill?

Videos to teach practical skill of various types where they speak Italian, often have a slow and distinct style of speach, and help you to improve your interpretation of spoken Italian too.
This is a video about first aid where the instructor speak slowly and let yo get time to interprete every utterabce.

This is a video of the same subject with varying speed of speach, but with an amusing instructor. There are a lot of videos with the same amusing instructor.

I will advice to watch these videos several times and you will understand more each time and also learn some important practical skills.

Another idea could be to use a normal speed podcast or audio file, but to play said file
in VLC player (which is free) that has the option to sow down audio. There is a VLC app
for the iphone but I don't know if it includes the slow down feature.
Specifically for Italian, I copy the links from peppa pig episodes in Italian from
youtube and play them slowed down through VLC player. Peppa pig (in case you don't know)
is a cartoon for young kids and therefore the language used is quite simple and slow
anyway. Alot of the time is it not necessary to slow down the audio anyway. At present,
I believe there are around 15 peppa pig Italian videos on youtube (each usually
comprising of 2 x 5 minute episodes).
I hope that helps.

I listen to Rai Radio3 podcasts, in particular Radio3 Mondo (rassegna stampa internazionale), and Prima pagina (italian press review). The speech is really slow.

learnitalianpod.com has a lot of episodes at a slow pace, and has lots of grammar and idiomatic tips.
italianpod.com is at a faster speed, but their beginner-level dialogues are very short, and they play them 3 times before translating them, I usually pick up on the bits I missed in the first round.
