Just curious.
With all the press about South Africa and the World Cup recently,
I read that isiZulu and isiXhosa ( the two main
Bantu languages of South Africa) are mutually intelligible.
Apparently they are both Nguni-Bantu languages and there is also relative intelligibility with Ndebele and Swazi.
I was wondering what other Bantu languages are mutually intelligible?
Swahili and Luganda?
Lingala and Kikongo?
Any Bantu scholars out there have any idea??
