If you're serious about learning the language, you should definitely buy Nicholas J. Brown's frequency dictionary. 10,000 words, all you need to read and understand pretty much all you'll come across. I've used tons of textbooks, but this dictionary was by far the most useful. Too bad those frequency dictionaries are not that popular.

I've been using Pimsleur Russian, New Penguin Russian, and Collins Russian English talking dictionary. What do you guys think?
